Construction Handbook — Privacy Policy

Construction Handbook is provided by Hazar Fazlı Ekşi, an individual operating under Architects of the New Worlds (AONW), Istanbul, Türkiye. Hazar Fazlı Ekşi is the data controller for AONW's processing described here. Privacy enquiries and access, correction or deletion requests: architectsofthenewworlds@outlook.com.

1. Scope and versions

The app's core features do not require an AONW account. Android version 90018 does not offer shared AONW account registration, email/username login, profile synchronization or Google Play purchase linking to an AONW account. Those development features are not activated by this policy. Existing optional owner and reviewer access is described below. Earlier Android builds 90012–90014 can also contact the AONW account-status service when the app starts or returns to the foreground, even without a saved owner session. In 90018, that account-status request is skipped when there is no saved owner session or valid owner pass.

2. Information kept on your device

Projects, checklists, photographs, notes, preferences, language/theme settings and backups are processed locally. The app does not automatically upload or synchronize project content to AONW. Exports and sharing happen when you choose them; the destination you select has its own privacy practices. Local records remain until you remove them or clear the app's storage; uninstalling can also remove them. AONW cannot remotely recover or delete device-local projects. Keep your own backups.

3. Google Play subscriptions

Google Play handles Android purchases, renewals, restoration and cancellation under Google's terms and privacy policy. The app uses Google Play's on-device purchase information and a time-limited local entitlement cache to provide Pro access, including supported offline use. AONW does not receive payment-card details. In 90018, the app does not send a Play purchase token to an AONW account-linking service or automatically migrate a purchase to an AONW account. Uninstalling the app, signing out or deleting AONW records does not cancel a Play subscription. Manage or cancel it in Google Play. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Optional access and service requests

Owner access: if you use an owner code or a saved owner session/pass, requests to architectsofthenewworlds.com can contain that code, an access/session token, a signed pass, the platform and a randomly generated installation identifier. The service checks the associated access identity and authorization. Access records are held remotely; this is distinct from device-local project storage. Reviewer codes are checked locally. A device with a locally granted reviewer pass can download the shared reviewer configuration to check whether that access remains available; this configuration request does not upload the entered reviewer code or project content.

Whenever an app request reaches AONW's Cloudflare-hosted service, Cloudflare receives network information such as the IP address, user-agent/device-browser information and request time. Authentication/access identifiers and security records are used to provide requested access and prevent unauthorized use. Failed requests can also reach the hosting/security provider. Opening an external website exposes information to that site under its own notice.

5. Providers and international processing

Cloudflare provides AONW's hosting, database and network-security services. It processes hosted content/customer logs on AONW's behalf and also processes certain network/security information for its own service operations, as explained in its privacy policy. Processing is international and is not guaranteed to remain in Türkiye or the European Union; Cloudflare describes operations and storage involving the United States and the European Economic Area. The recorded location of a database is not a promise about every request, log, support operation or onward transfer. These documents do not themselves establish that a Türkiye-specific transfer mechanism has been executed for AONW.

This notice does not activate the separate website/Windows account or payment services. Their own notices apply when you choose to visit or use them. The Android app has no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK; this does not mean hosting/security providers receive no network information.

6. Retention and deletion

Credential, session and offline-pass expiry limits access; it does not mean the associated database records, security logs or backups have been erased. Remote access records can remain after a pass expires. AONW uses them to administer access and handle security/support matters; records no longer needed for those purposes are subject to deletion on review or a valid request, except where continued retention is necessary for legal obligations or establishing, exercising or defending claims. No automatic deletion after a fixed number of days is represented here.

Cloudflare describes provider retention by service purpose, data sensitivity/risk and applicable contractual or legal obligations. Its processor arrangements also describe deletion/return at service completion or termination, subject to law. A single account-specific request/security-log duration has not been established, and this policy does not assign one. The verified seven-day D1 Time Travel window is a database-recovery window, not a log-retention period or a guarantee that every copy disappears seven days after deletion. Protected recovery copies can outlast deletion from an active database; access and retention must remain limited to their recovery/security/legal purpose. 7. Your choices, requests and security

You can use the Free features without optional owner/reviewer access. To request access, correction or deletion of AONW-held records, email architectsofthenewworlds@outlook.com. Describe the request without sending passwords, owner/reviewer codes, purchase tokens or project documents. We may ask for proportionate evidence to identify the relevant records and verify your authority. A deletion request is not a subscription cancellation, and it cannot remove projects stored only on your device. Your rights under Article 11 of Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), and other applicable objection and complaint rights, remain available.

We conclude KVKK applications meeting the applicable requirements as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after receipt, free of charge. We communicate acceptance or a reasoned refusal in writing or electronically and fulfil accepted requests. Any justified retention exception will be explained in the response. This is not a promise that every provider log or recovery copy is erased within 30 days. Other statutory rights and deadlines remain unaffected.

App service requests use HTTPS. You remain responsible for your device and exported copies. The app is a construction reference for students, professionals and site teams and is not directed to children; ordinary network information can nevertheless be processed as described above.
